CONSULTATION

We attach great importance to transparent and low rates, because we want to make the law accessible and accessible to everyone. For that reason, a first consultation (of half an hour) is completely without obligation and free of charge . During the telephone intake interview, we will discuss your situation or problem. We map out your goals and wishes together. Then we tell you

- depending on the level of information you have available - what we can do for you and you will receive preliminary advice from us. You will of course also know immediately whether you need the help of one of our lawyers.

We speak of a 'preliminary advice', because not all matters are of the same simple nature. That is why we will of course discuss at the end of the conversation whether you want to do further legal research by us, the costs for legal assistance and the various options in this.

HOURLY RATE

The fixed hourly rate is the most common form of invoicing. We always use a competitive rate. For legal advice and legal assistance provided by Legal Point, an accessible hourly rate usually applies, depending on the nature and scope of the required legal services or expertise.

€ 65 per hour. This amount includes VAT for private individuals and excluding VAT for entrepreneurs. Legal Point does not charge a surcharge for office costs (on top of the hourly rate). In special situations we can agree an adjusted hourly rate. You can always contact us to receive a price indication.

CONTRACTS

Agreements and general terms and conditions

We use favorable standard rates instead of an hourly rate for having agreements and / or general terms and conditions drawn up. It does not matter how many hours we put into your business and what kind of agreement it concerns. This way you know in advance exactly where you stand and what costs you have to take into account.

Drawing up an agreement costs € 149 per document. Preparing general terms and conditions costs € 99 per document. We can also check your agreement and / or general terms and conditions for you. For this we use an amount of € 89 per document. For example, have you drawn up an agreement or general terms and conditions yourself and would you like to have them adjusted? Then we use an amount of € 149 per document. If you want us to adjust your agreement and / or general terms and conditions after the check, you will receive a discount of € 30 on the total amount. These amounts are inclusive of VAT for private individuals and exclusive of VAT for entrepreneurs. In addition, it is possible to make a fixed price agreement with us if, for example, you want to have several agreements drawn up or checked / adjusted at the same time. You can always contact us to receive a price indication.

You can contact us to have the following agreements checked / adjusted or drawn up:

  • Acceptance of work

  • Labor contract

  • Custody agreement

  • Bail agreement

  • Loan or re-loan

  • Rental agreement

  • Purchase agreement (whether or not on installment)

  • Establishment of a partnership, general partnership or limited partnership

  • Assignment agreement

  • Lease agreement

  • Travel agreement

  • Exchange agreement

  • Donation Agreement

  • Settlement Agreement

  • Insurance Agreement

  • Establishment of pledge

COLLECTION

We take care of your extrajudicial collection process on a no cure, no pay basis . 'No cure no pay' is English for 'no solution, no payment'. This means that you do not have to pay anything if we cannot collect the case. When we do collect your case, we will charge you a percentage. In most cases we also try to recover these costs from the debtor, so that the collection via Legal Point has not cost you anything at all.

In the Netherlands, legal rules apply to the maximum amount of the collection costs. The amount of the collection costs is stated in the Collection Costs Act (WIK). According to the WIK, the collection costs are a percentage of the invoice amount, with a minimum of € 40 and a maximum of € 6,775 . The percentage decreases as the claim increases. The law uses a graduated scale for this.

If you want to know how much collection costs may be charged, you can use the debt collection calculator from SchuldInfo.

DAY TRIPS

If your claim is less than € 25,000 or relates to tenancy law, labor law or consumer law, you can initiate a summons procedure with the subdistrict court yourself. This means that it is not mandatory to engage a lawyer. However, drafting a subpoena is a complicated process that must be done completely without errors. A subpoena can be invalid if it contains an error. We can help you start a summons procedure. In addition to providing legal advice on your case, we can also prepare or correct a subpoena for you. Drawing up a simple summons costs € 249 . Drawing up a normal summons costs € 499 . These amounts are inclusive of VAT for private individuals and exclusive of VAT for entrepreneurs. In addition, we also explain how you should start the proceedings before the Subdistrict Court and what the further course of the proceedings will look like. This is all included in the price. If, after receiving the summons and our explanation, you still need help in starting a procedure with the subdistrict court (for example, when issuing the summons, exchanging written documents or sending the execution of the judgment), the following applies: our standard hourly rate. It is possible that a case is still too complex. In that case we will contact you to discuss your options.
